ARRRGH! Monsters in Fashion, the exhibition presented by Atopos cvc in 2011 in Athens, this February travels to Paris.
Very proud to see my best friend participating in it – way to go Filep Motwary!
Based on an original idea by Vasslis Zidianakis, ARRRGH! Monsters in Fashion is the first international exhibition on character design in fashion and art. Characters are abstract, reduced figures with a strong anthropomorphic appeal and bold graphical silhouette. Participating designers and artists reshape the human body and reveal a new universe full of dreams, nightmares and hybrid creatures.
The outcome of extensive research that became ATOPOS’s unique publication Not a Toy and following the success of its first presentation at the Benaki Museum in Athens, ARRRGH! Monsters in Fashion will now be hosting creations by 55 fashion designers and artists from around the world as well as loans from the ModeMuseum, Antwerp and thedestefashioncollection.

The latest fashion show of our sweet Vassilis Zoulias took place in Grande Bretagne Hotel and it was dedicated to his 10 years of creativity,
with his well-known retro style and his model friends -stars of modeling in the 90s-
rocking the catwalk in 50s couture frocks and adorned pumps.
Hair: Dimitris Giannetos. Make up: Manos Vynichakis for Shiseido. Creative direction: Michael Pandos. Shoe ornaments: Pericles Kondylatos
…And it’s out!
The photos of the Milk&Honey Fall 2012 advertising campaign, in which I had participated a couple of months ago, has finally begun to come out one by one, starring real next-door girls of the city . We are waiting for more beauties to make an appearance on the campaign any time soon, but here are some Milk&Honey girls in lovely Milk&Honey outfits. Stay tuned here for more!

After seeing so many gowns parading up and down last week, I felt this urge to slip into something more couture -which was a big mistake, since I found it extremely difficult to part afterwards. This is me playing Morticia Addams in a lethal Dior dress.

A wonderful, raw, immense warehouse at the old industrial zone of Athens was the ideal location for “Idiosyncrasy”, the new collection of Konstantinos Melis by Laskos, whose evolution of ideas and sartorial craftsmanship was more than evident.
Great concept realization by Creative Director Michal Pandos and extra winning points for the lights, the conceptual hair (Vassilis Stratigos) & make up (Manos Vynichakis for Shiseido) and the Damien Hirst piece of art “As the memories fade”,
that was installed in the middle of the catwalk.
Once again, orchids were welcoming the crowd on the seats -loved that.

Celia Kritharioti is one of the few couture houses in Greece, if not the only one. The precious beaded evening gowns and elaborated wedding dresses of the designer we know already. What I enjoyed most at her fashion presentation, that I attended a couple of days earlier than last night’s official press day, was the 40s silhouette and the full skirts, alongs with the stretch knitted bodycon dresses and the lush blue and green velvet.
Just a quick drop to show you some backstage photos from last night’s “Idiosyncrasy” fashion show, of Konstantinos Melis by Laskos.
I’m overwhelmed with joy and satisfaction for last night’s Ozon Fashion Flash Spring-Summer 2013.
Somf and Digitaria were the designers that participated in a special fashion presentation, accompanied by the live music of Rattler Proxy (for Somf) and Melatonini (for the latter). Me and Christos Alxandropoulos, together with the two Somfettes, Mariaflora and Olivia, had been brainstorming for the last ten days regarding the presentation, the styling and the creative direction of the whole, and I want to believe that the final outcome was quite good.
I utterly enjoyed every moment of it (especially the song part -GOD!) Special thanks to Dimitris Sarantou with Moroccanoil, for taking a good care of the hair and make up of our girls.
Since I was too busy to use a camera, I kindly steal some shots from my dearest Ioanna Hatziandreou. You can also find some backstage photo collages by Markos Andriotis here.
