Gucci Museo announced “Paul Fryer: Lo Spirito Vola” as the second contemporary art exhibition of works, on loan from the François Pinault Collection. Curated by Francesca Amfitheatrof, the exhibition presents three of Paul Fryer’s iconoclastic art works on the transcendent, morality and religion: the major sculptural works Ophelia, Pietà (the Empire Never Ended) and Ecce Homo.

I shared this two years ago on World Poetry day -today i’m all about the following: H πόλις Είπες· «Θα πάγω σ’ άλλη γή, θα πάγω σ’ άλλη θάλασσα, Μια πόλις άλλη θα βρεθεί καλλίτερη από αυτή. Κάθε προσπάθεια μου μια καταδίκη είναι γραφτή· κ’ είν’ η καρδιά μου – σαν νεκρός –θαμένη. Ο νους μου ως πότε μες στον μαρασμό αυτόν θα μένει. Όπου το μάτι μου γυρίσω, όπου κι αν δω ερείπια μαύρα της ζωής μου βλέπω εδώ, που τόσα χρόνια πέρασα και ρήμαξα και χάλασα». . Καινούριους τόπους δεν θα βρεις, δεν θα’ βρεις άλλες θάλασσες. Η πόλις θα σε ακολουθεί. Στους δρόμους θα γυρνάς τους ίδιους. Και στες γειτονιές τες ίδιες θα γερνάς· και μες στα ίδια σπίτια αυτά θ’…

All photos are retouch-free and taken with analogue camera, which i can confirm, since the picture above was taken during a warm spring sunset, in the early years of my working at Vogue back in 200idontremember, with fashion editor Michael Pandos.
